Meet Time?!

Now it is time for us all to meet each other and select our running legs. I am thinking this Sunday would be a good time to get together. That way you would have around 3 weeks to train for the legs you selected. Lets say 6pm @ my house. Leave a comment and let me know if this works for you or if another time would be better.

Hey, for those of you running this September please be sure to register and pay as soon as possible! For those of us already registered we are wanting to choose our legs. In the past once we have all 12 registered we meet up and arm wrestle for the shortest legs.

RRR Update for 2011(*#2*)

1. FREE ROOMS AT BRIAN HEAD RESORT!!!

Guess what?  The Grand Lodge at our start line in Brian Head Resort wants to hook up our RRR runners.  In addition to having pre-race parties with live bands, they have donated a FREE room to the next 10 new teams that register for the race!  Ready set go!!! SIGN UP HERE   

 

If your team is already signed up to race... No worries!  They are also offering a RRR buy one room get the other FREE. Call (435) 677-9000 and request the RRR team special.  They will ask for your team name and other information as well. 

2. COURSE MAPS

We are finalizing the 2011 course from Brian Head ski resort to Zion National Park.  With a few minor changes, it will be very similar to the 2010 route.  We made some necessary adjustments due to improved safety, scenery, and road construction.  If you make leg assignments based on the 2010 maps you will be totally fine as there will be little change to the legs. The fully revised 2011 maps will be posted online within the next few weeks. *To see the 2010 maps, click HERE.

Last Four legs taken!

Scott is going to run the most difficult legs 4 and 10. I am going to be a weakling and take 6 and 12. Make sure to get at least one run in this week. I am looking forward to run with you all this weekend! See you all soon.

Race Guide

Hey all the Race Guide is out on the Red Rock Relay site. Check it out, (  http://redrockrelay.com/rrr-wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/11RRRguidemoab.pdf ) know it well, and make sure you look at the items needed. FYI we will need a vest and headlamp if we are running later than 7pm. If you have a headlamp make sure you bring it just in case, I will try and remember to bring a safety vest.

I hope you are all excited, this is going to be a blast!!

Friday Night

In the past RRR has a dinner/meet and greet the night before the race and I am expecting this will continue in Moab. Do we want to all meet at the dinner (most likely at Swanny Park) or have a team chow that night? Let me know what you think.

I am so stoked about this team; we are going to have a great time! The dynamics of this team is truly awesome!

We have 4 runners for the Moab Relay so we need to find 2 more if possible. The team thus far is Jerry, Scott, Tammi, and Justin. This run happens on May, 14 so get thinking and let me know if you find someone to run. The cost for this run is $45 per person.
